PITCH Issue #5 is dropping next week! This weekend I'll be helping director Christie Morgan with editing and I'm excited to peak into the latest collection of artist and designer features. 

We're also heading to a number of music and fashion events next week, such as: the relaunch of Fashion Weekly at Oxford 152, the Brisbane Fashion Industry meetup organised by Wikifashion and finally, our favourite Sydney music maker Oliver Tank's show at The Bridge Club. Come and say hi if you're heading to to any of the events (or let us know if there's any other parties we should get ourselves to).

The Year of The Dragon

2012 is the Chinese Year of the Dragon - now I'm not so sure how much I believe in Chinese Zodiac, but so far it's ringing pretty true - dragons symbolise ambition, a willingness to take risks and passion in all they do. There are exciting times ahead for both Sargasso girls and the next few days are just the beginning! We're interning at beauty blogs, spontaneously flying to Sydney to attend START UP (a super-cool fashion/media conference run by pedestrian.tv) and going to a collection showing for a rad new Brisbane label. We can't wait to show you the results from spending our year living like Chinese Dragons!

Last weekend I had the opportunity to style my first editorial shoot for PITCH Magazine, directed by the amazingly creative Christie Morgan and shot by my fashion photography crush Andrea Jankovic.

It only took twelve years, but the irreverent Australian label has ploughed its latest project K.O.M.A (Kontemporary of Modern Art) right into the middle of our sweet, virginal hometown of Brisbane.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

We're back from token beachside holidays and our 2012 projects have already commenced. This weekend we are styling a shoot for one of our favourite online magazines (more details on that soon).
