Día de Muertos

Tonight we are heading to a Day of the Dead event hosted by the crazy kooks at Frankie&bs, held at our fave creative space The Thought Fort (80 Wickham Street). We will be wearing creepy handmade head pieces, slapping on some face paint and gluing a few flowers to our hair in honour of the celebration.With a $5 cover charge and the promise of sugar skull decorations, there really is no excuse for not getting your Mexican dead self there.

Now that final exams are over for the year, the SS twosome have entered into a whole new world of pain - planning shoots, summer placement applications and editorial submissions. 

Double X, Not Triple

Inspiration is hard to find and when it comes, it's usually for only a fleeting second. The xx blog is an inspiration jackpot and can always be counted on to help you conjure up some crazy, psychedelic dream sequence fitting to turn into a story, illustration, design etc. Of course, The XX are a UK three piece who play a particular brand of spacious indie pop that I love.
