My bank account is waning, I have no job and yet I still managed to buy five (yes five) of my favourite reads this month. That's $50! But I really can’t help it – I have a strong addiction and an increasing lack of storage space. So as an accomplished mag-reader (hopefully, one day an accomplished mag writer), here’s my wrap up of this months completely disposable fashion bibles.

We're often a slave to the wage or even unpaid internships, but we decided to go it alone and creatively direct ourselves for once. So here it is! Our simple test shoot with Alex, inspired by the white walls of Whitehouse, Russh, Terry Richardson portraits, the Pixies and clean skin.

Brisbane Underground Film Festival (BUFF) is back in 2011 for a long weekend of cinema - filled with an experimental, arthouse, confronting and often hilarious assortment of films. I chatted to festival director Nina Riddel about the irony of film censorship, the trend of cultural complacency and why we need to challenge ourselves with unfamiliar content.
