I generally scurry past most Fortitude Valley establishments for the same reason that I wear baggy t-shirts to the gym: to evade the perverted stares of personal-space invading juice heads. At the other end of the scale, I've got a large amount of love for a select few brick and mortar spaces that feature some sweet intangible benefits (read: fun music, interesting people and new ideas). 


So I have discovered, The Thought Fort (80 Wickham Street) is such a place.

This weekend I interrupted my religious Saturday sleep in and made a bleary eyed pilgrimage to Kingdom of Little Empires, an event put together by Triple J Unearthed and Brisbane Powerhouse (yay!). 

Ox and Hammer!

Ever had an Eco Taco? Ox and Hammer designers Sebastien & Ainsley love them and the fashion communities of Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast love Ox and Hammer. Friday night was the Bi-Annual Young Designers night at Threaded and while there were a few “thrills and spills” on the runway – conveniently there’s always thrills and spills at a runway show – the night and the clothes were fantastic.
